Energy Supply of the Future
Our energy supply will more and more be changed to renewable energies, already a great part is covered by wind energy. The largest wind power plants have a length of rotor blades of nearly 100m. During production as well as in maintenance rotor blades have to be examined from the inside concerning faults such as delamination, cracks, defective lightning arresters, etc.
Inspected up to the Blade Tip
Only the first 20 - 40% of the rotor blade's interior space can be inspected by man, behind a camera system is required for the inspection. Rotor blades in production or repair, but also mounted ones can be inspected by a crawler up to the blade tip. For mounted blades, locked in 6 o' clock position, also a hanging variant can be used.
